My drawings are (pseudo) scientific studies into the language of diagrams and the meaning of mark making. Explorations of cognitive processes of artists, writers and avid doodlers - producing diagrams, sketches, thought experiments and scribbles.
Years of just ‘doing stuff’ drawing forms repeatedly- fake circuit diagrams, made up scripts and semi-algorithymic systems have given me a kind of theory set to pull apart. The end points of these investigations are often reduced to a single concept, but you can find work in progress, notes, old drawings and scribbles in the sketchbook part of the website, along with illustration work and other things that don’t sit entirely comfortably with the rest of my practice.
